Shopping Experience at NewRuleFX

NewRuleFX.com organizes its inventory across eight major product categories, making it straightforward to find what you need whether you're stocking breakaway glass bottles, rubber weapons, or action props. The product range spans from entry-level training pieces to professional-grade theatrical items, with prices running from USD 13 to USD 119. The site lists over 250 products across FX Action Props, Rubber Props, Breakaway Glass Bottles, Pro Money and Gold Props, Movie and TV replicas, Breakaway Dishes and Glassware, and Rubber and Plastic Swords and Knives. Each category is clearly labeled, so whether you're an independent filmmaker, regional broadcaster, or working on a national television series, you can browse by intended use. The company emphasizes education alongside sales, providing guidance on proper techniques and methods for using the products they carry. If you need something outside their catalog, NewRuleFX maintains a custom build team ready to create pieces tailored to specific project requirements. This combination of ready-to-ship inventory and bespoke capabilities distinguishes the retailer from generic prop suppliers.

Where Your Budget Goes at NewRuleFX

NewRuleFX.com is operated by New Rule Productions, Inc., a family of entertainment-focused businesses that also includes SMASHProps (their dedicated breakaway effects brand) and ActorCigarette.com. The company's mission centers on providing a direct and affordable prop supply solution to the industry rather than marking up through middlemen. Since their founding in 1991, the team has directed and produced independent films, regional broadcast television, and multiple-season national network television series. That production background informs their product development and quality standards. The pricing reflects this commitment to affordability—the USD 13–USD 119 range covers everything from small training knives to larger prop sets. When you purchase, you're buying from a supplier with decades of hands-on experience in how props actually get used on set. The company states its devotion to being the special effects supplier in the industry with the best customer service available, positioning customer support as a core operating principle. Because NewRuleFX also operates a custom build team, a portion of revenue goes toward maintaining in-house capabilities for bespoke orders rather than outsourcing fabrication.
