Welcome to The Found Good ("we", "us", "the Site"), available at thefoundgood.com, including our fiction library at thefoundgood.com/stories. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Our Service

The Found Good publishes feature essays, human-interest writing, and original serialized fiction. All stories in our fiction library are works of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, events, and incidents are the products of the authors’ imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

2. Accounts

Some features — such as commenting and unlocking paid chapters — require an account. You agree to provide a valid email address, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Purchases and Paid Content

Parts of some stories are paid digital content. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card details. Prices are shown before you confirm a purchase and may change at any time, but changes never affect content you have already unlocked.

Paid chapters are delivered digitally and unlocked on your account immediately after a successful payment. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Comments and User Content

You may post comments where the feature is available. You keep ownership of what you write, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the Site. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, spam, or that infringes anyone’s rights. We may remove any comment or restrict commenting at our discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — stories, essays, artwork, design, and code — is owned by The Found Good or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may read and enjoy the content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, scrape, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to interfere with the operation of the Site, attempt to bypass the chapter paywall or any security measure, access other users’ accounts, or use automated tools to extract content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Found Good will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions) will survive.
